W2W are excited to announce that this May, we will be launching a new residential offering, RESIDE. For over 20 years, we have been working with some of the worlds’ leading furniture brands which include Fritz Hansen, Knoll Studio, and Moroso. We are bringing these years of creativity and expertise to residential customers. RESIDE marries the best of leading brands with a team that understand how to provide solutions for living too, offering customers unrivalled access to everything from design classics to ultra-contemporary pieces.
RESIDE will be officially launched with a POP-UP interiors shop in the Fumbally Exchange, 5 Dame Lane Dublin 2, from Thursday 4th May to Friday 6th May 2017. During these few days we will be showcasing some iconic furniture pieces, for example, the Arne Jacobsen Egg chair, the Eero Saarinen Womb Chair, and much more.
Excitingly, we will also be one of the first in Europe to showcase the new Lune sofa from Fritz Hansen, which was launched during Milan Design Week in April. All will be revealed very soon.
We have collaborated with highly respected interior designer Suzi McAdam to host a series of workshops over the course of the weekend. Suzi has featured in numerous publications and was shortlisted for Young Designer of the Year and Design practice of the year at the 2016 fit-out awards. Her design studio is now one of Ireland’s premier young interior design consultancies. Suzi will be providing workshops over the course of the pop-up shop focusing on themes such as key looks for 2017, how to expertly curate furniture in the home and the importance of good design. You can book a workshop through our Eventbrite page.
Speaking about the collaboration, Suzi said "I'm thrilled to collaborate with RESIDE in creating this showcase of iconic international design. I've always been so passionate about helping others to curate and build upon their own individual interior dreams, so I am very excited to host design masterclasses."
Supporting Irish Design has always been important to W2W. A natural collaboration with The National Centre of Excellence for Furniture Design and Wood Technology GMIT, Letterfrack, Co Galway has resulted in their 4th-year Furniture Design and Manufacturer students crafting miniatures of iconic pieces of furniture, that are manufactured by Fritz Hansen, and Knoll. The miniatures represent excellence in skill, the use of technology and superb craftsmanship in recreating the full-size versions, at a scale of 1:5. W2W and RESIDE will be proudly displaying these during the pop up.
