W2W is excited to announce that we are the exclusive supplier in Ireland for this new Irish brand.
The concept behind FLOAT is to improve interaction between people for informal meetings. Initial Research observed some awkward and uncomfortable situations caused by ill-conceived furniture. Natural human positioning is to stand/sit at an angle to the person you are speaking with the hexagonal shape was created as a result of this research. We can express ourselves more freely without having to conform to a fixed seating position.
Human Centered at the core of its research, it is designed to encourage better posture and create more flexible and practical breakout spaces. FLOAT can be used individually or in multiple groups to create meeting spaces.
To help us launch this FLOAT, by new Irish design house Grey Fox, architects and designers gathered in The Science Gallery Dublin on June 1st. Renowned campaigner for body conscious design Galen Cranz joined us for the launch. Galen, a professor of Architecture, in Berkeley University, shared her views on how body conscious design affects the design of our schools, workplaces and homes in the 21st century. You can view her presentation on our Facebook page.
FLOAT Is now on display in our Showroom in Baldonnell Business Park please email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
W2W are also proud to be a co-sponsor to the Science Gallery Dublin this year. In collaboration with Grey Fox we will be displaying FLOAT in the gallery space above the café. This is a public space so please feel free to drop in for an informal meeting or simply to try out these new seating units.
